Laura Rice

Originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota, Laura served as an administrator and AEA Stage Manager at professional theatre organizations throughout the midwest. She has worked with nationally renowned theatre companies such as Mixed Blood Theatre, Mu Performing Arts, Stages Theatre Company, and The Guthrie. Laura has a degree in Theatre Arts from Minnesota State University, Mankato, and afterwards held a comprehensive theatre apprenticeship with Williamston Theatre in Michigan. She later fulfilled a fellowship with the Minnesota Theatre Alliance, where she worked to  develop and construct the Performing Arts Human Resources Toolkit workshop series and corresponding website of resources.

A self-described “cool mom,” Laura’s hobbies include practicing yoga, reading, watching sci-fi movies, hiking, trying new and spicy foods, and of course, attending live-theatre. Her current personal endeavors include visiting every National Park in the US and reading a biography of each US President (in the order they served). She lives in Charlotte with her wife, child, and their small herd of cats and dogs.
