Where the heck is the performance?
All performances of EVIL DEAD will take place at:
The Barn at MoRA
8300 Monroe Rd.
Charlotte, NC 28212
Parking at The Barn
Free parking is available along the barn side of McAlpine Park Dr.
What should I bring?
We’re embracing the outdoor show vibe with a bring your own chair policy. Grab a lawn chair or even one of those plastic blow up chairs from Spencer’s Gifts (blankets aren’t recommended but we can’t stop you). Some other helpful things might be bug spray, a flash light, and something cuddly to wrap up in when you get scared of the demon zombies!
What is seating like?
Seating for our production of EVIL DEAD is organized into three sections and are bring your own chair! In addition to our typical premium and standard options, all of you real Deadites will want to “join uuuussss” in the SPLATTER ZONE!
That’s right, we said Splatter Zone. The closest seating area to the stage puts you in the dead center of all your favorite gory moments! Splatter Zone patrons will be provided with a free poncho and a plastic bag to cover your chair in. You’ll be so close to the action, you’ll want it to take you to dinner first!
What are the show times?
All performances of EVIL DEAD will begin at 8:00 PM. The show runs Thursdays through Sundays from September 29th until October 30, 2022 so there are plenty of chances for you to come get some dead head.
Are there any special events?
Hell yeah! There will be a zombie makeup tutorial led by Special FX artist Martin Barry before the show on Oct 8. For a $15 add-on, you’ll get your very own personal makeup kit so you can learn to DIY Zombify!
The question on everyone’s mind: Where do I take care of my… business?
Who doesn’t love a good porta potty?! We’ve got three for you to choose from, including one that is ADA compliant. We also have hand washing stations, which are very satisfying to use after your visit to the evil plastic throne. Disclaimer: Please do not summon demons in the porta potties.
What’s the deal with food and drinks?
We will have food trucks at each performance and a selection of beer will be sold on site, sponsored by Birdsong Brewing. Some food trucks or vendors may be cash only.
What happens if it rains?
We plan to possess your soul rain or shine with the exception of severe storms. In the case of rain before or during the performance, we may hold the show for up to one-hour window, if needed, to decide whether or not it is safe to continue.
The good news is that you can add a protection plan for just $5 per ticket, which will ensure that you receive a refund of your ticket price if you are unable to attend the event, or if we have to cancel for any reason.
Can I smoke?
The performance will be smokin’ but you shouldn’t be.
Can I bring my furry friend with me?
Service Animals (as defined by the ADA) are always welcome at ATC shows but we ask that the rest of your fur babies, including Emotional Support/Comfort Animals, stay safe at home.
Are devices for assisted listening available?
For our outdoor shows, we are unable to offer assisted listening devices. However, all shows will have amplified sound with the actors wearing microphones.
What measures will you take to keep audiences safe from COVID?
The safety and well-being of our patrons, artists, and staff are our top priority. We do not currently require patrons to provide anything for entry to our shows but we will continue to monitor the situation and make changes as necessary.
