Our policies, accessibility options, and FAQ may differ for our Rock the Barn outdoor shows. Please visit the Rock the Barn page on our website for details about Rock of Ages, Head Over Heels, and The Rocky Horror Show.
Actor’s Theatre is committed to making the work on our stage accessible to all; below is a list of our services.
Restroom facilities are located in the main lobby and are fully accessible to patrons in wheelchairs.
Accessible Seating for Performances
Actor’s Theatre has accessible wheelchair and scooter locations in its main stage theatre. Although we are a general admission theatre, our friendly staff will make reservations for individuals requiring accessible seating and others in their party. Please call 704-342-2251 to speak to our staff and make arrangements. Or email email@example.com.
Sign Interpreted Performances
We are able to offer American Sign Language Interpreted performances given a minimum of two weeks notice. Please call 704-342-2251 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to speak to our staff or make arrangements.
Assistive Listening Devices
We are happy to offer personal Assistive Listening Devices for our performances. These are available by request at the box office prior to each performance.
Though we do not currently offer open captioning at our shows, we are seeking funding to provide this service in the future. If you are interested in helping us fund this cause, please contact our Development Director at email@example.com.
Pay What You Can & Previews
We want our art to be accessible! If seeing a full-price show is not right for you, our Pay What You Can night (suggested ticket price of $10) is an option. We also offer half-priced Preview Performances for most of our shows. You can find the dates for Pay What You Can and Previews on our event calendar.
Actor’s Theatre of Charlotte is proud to offer a completely free, invitation-only performance of each show in our season to under-served groups around the Charlotte-Mecklenburg area. We are striving to make theatre accessible to Charlotte communities by totally removing financial barriers to groups and organizations who would benefit from a live theatre experience. These closed performances will take place on the final Saturday of each show at 2:30pm. If your group would like to be considered for an invitation, please contact our Audience Services Manager at firstname.lastname@example.org.
